You know, it never fails...I have to get ready for work, while the family is getting ready to go do something fun, like go to the museum. That wouldn't normally be a problem, right?
Not in my family, though. Oh, no...while I need to get showered, gathered, packed, etc., in my efforts to be ready when my ride gets here, I'm told that I get to bathe, dry and dress the child, do this, do that, etc.
Then, half an hour before my ride is supposed to be there, I find myself in charge of giving the boy a time-out...which, instead of being a 1 minute affair for trying to open the front door, winds up being a 15 minute ordeal.
Where is Mom during all this? Oh, she's waiting in the car, leaving me to have to deal with all this shit.
WTF?!?!?!?!?
So, I finally get showered and dressed. I pack my stuff to go. Wonderful.
I forgot my ID card on my desk, so I had to be signed in and have to wear the "badge of shame" (Employee Pass sticker that I have to wear in some conspicuous place on my person), and look more like a dork than I normally do.
Joy.
