Coming soon...
I've registered a new domain, and am preparing to launch the new site.
Stay tuned to this space for more info on philly-fans-in-indy.org.
Today, I was at Barnes and Noble with Bubba, when we ran into another Philly area fan who just moved to the Indy area from the King of Prussia area.
We got talking, and I asked him if he'd be interested in joining a listserv for Philly fans in the Indy area.
He thought that would be cool, so I finally took that as the impetus to go ahead and build the list.
So, if anyone else who lives in the Indianapolis area is a fan of Philadelphia Sports teams, and would like a place to talk about 'em, find ways to get together for games and such...feel free to join the email list by visiting the Indy Area Philly Fans Mailing List Info Page and follow the instructions to sign up.
Today was the second weekend of the Indiana State Tournament.
My team, Shut Up and Bowl, participated in the team event.
And <sarcasm> boy, did I bowl great </sarcasm>
179, 150 and 166 for a whopping 495.
3 opens in the first game, including a split. 4 opens in the second game, 3 of which were splits. 2 opens to finish the third game, the last of which was a split.
It's hard to see light at the end of the tunnel, when that tunnel is your rear end, and you're head is firmly implanted therein.
613 tonight...210, 202, 201.
6 opens....3 of them splits. Had an 8-10 and a 4-6-7 in the first game.
Had a 4-6-10 and missed a 10 pin in the second game.
Missed a 6-10 and a 4-7 in the third.
Funny thing...PBA Inferno ball wasn't doing much in practice, so I pulled out the old sapphire Zone to start the night.
After finishing the 2nd game with a 5 bagger, the lanes dried up some more, and suddenly, I couldn't get the Zone to stop coming up high...halfway through the third game, I wound up breaking out 'Barbie"...my old pink Hammer 3D. Unfortunately, I waited until the 8th frame of the third game to pull that ball out, or I might have had a better game. As it was, though, my last 5 shots were in the pocket...including a 4 bagger with a ringing 10 pin for the last shot of the night.
Shot 597, tonight. 161, 200 and 236.
9 opens out of 13 spare attempts...only one split.
Average dropped back to 200...but I'm only .07 pins below 201.
I hope I can get back on the stick, next week.
Nope...not really pleased, at all.
214, 164, 105, for a 583.
5 opens on the night...a 2 pin, a 10 pin, chopped out the 2-4 on a 1-2-4, chopped out the 1-2-8 on a 1-2-8-10, and a 4-7-10 split.
My average manages to stay at 201.
Unlike the last 2 weeks, where the team swept each week...we only took 2 points, this week.
However, since all but one of the 4 teams ahead of us, going into the night, lost at least as many points as we did, we managed to climb from 5th to 4th, by one point, in the standings.
Well, it's taken a while, but I'm back!!!
After the great server/disk crash of Labor Day 2006, where I lost ALL of my data, it's taken me this long to rebuild the web sites and blogs on my server.
But, I think it's just about done, now.
Now, all I need to do is post a whole ton of crap that I would have posted, over the last few months. Of course, most of those postings will be entered with dates preceding this entries, but I guess that's just the way it is. Anyhow...
Let the rantings recommence!!!
689, tonight. Yup...that's right...689.
230, 222, 237. The only miss of the night was a 2-4-10, which I just missed converting, in the 2nd half of the 10th frame of the first game.
However...since that miss doesn't count as an open (I struck in the first half of the 10th frame), it still counts as a clean game, and the series counts as for a "Clean 30" award.
Bugger...even though it's the highest series of the season, for me, one strike instead of a spare in any frame, tonight, would have gotten me my first 700 of the season.
Oh, well. In the meantime, my average is now 201.
I still don't know what's happened to me, the last few weeks, but I'm enjoying it, while it lasts, and hoping that it keeps up. I wouldn't mind getting up to be league high average, if I can.
I just need to be careful that I don't get too high, or I'll have to rerate for all of my upcoming tournaments.
Damn it!!! The freakin' feed and drain pipes for the washing machine are frozen, again.
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put the pipes...pipes which feed into and drain out of the washing machine...in an exterior wall?
We're in the middle of a sub-freezing cold snap, that's lasted over two weeks, already, and these pipes are in an exterior wall!!!

Where did this come from?
664, tonight. 241, 201, 221.
Only 2 opens tonight, out of 3 splits.
I made all the right adjustments, had 19 strikes and 11 spares.
Average went up to an even 200.
I'm not sure what to do with myself, here.
